Positions Available:

Pet Caregiver (FT/PT)

Seeking individuals to care for pets in a luxury resort-like setting. Prefer individuals with pet caretaker experience; but will consider on a case-by-case basis. Individuals must love to work with pets in all weather conditions both indoors and outdoors and exhibit excellent common-sense regarding pets and their owners. Duties include: walking, feeding, watering, playtime, social groups, clean-ups and other as-needed tasks.

Dog Trainer (FT/PT)

We are seeking trainers for basic obedience, competetive obedience, and puppy classes. Experience is necessary, and a compassionate, motivated personality with a flexible schedule is preferred. Please include a resume with the application. 

Customer Service/Front Desk (FT/PT)

Responsibilities include taking reservations on the phone and in person. Duties also include checking clients in and out. Will include some dog and cat handling. Comfort in a fastpaced environment and strong customer relation skills a must. Some computer experience and basic math competency strongly preferred. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Duties & Requirements for all Oakview Pet Resort Team Members include but not limited to the following:

ALL AREAS:

• Providing loving care in serious animal care environment.
• Must be detail oriented & possess initiative.
• Work weekends, including Sunday and holidays.
• Seasonality - Will experience peak season -- summer, weekends, and all holidays.
• Great attitude with very special pets & their appreciative families.
• Understanding of the Oakview Pet Resort mission statement.

RESORT SPA:

• Must be able to handle walking dogs on lead.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Bathing dogs, clipping toe nails, safely drying & brushing.

FRONT DESK:

• Answering phones, taking reservations, computer skills.
• Customer service - interaction with owners - phone, during check-in & checkout.
• Ability to give owner report on their dog or cat. Friendly, polite, and accommodating nature.
• Checking-in & checking-out guests.

PET CAREGIVER:

• Preparing meals, feeding, & providing water to all feline & canine guests.
• Cleaning suites with power washer & sanitizer, towels, water bucket, etc.
• Detailed and general cleaning of building - bathrooms, laundry room, supply room, kitchen, grooming, training area, cat room (litter boxes), grounds, & trash removal from all areas. Must be able to clean toilets, stock paper products & maintain all bathrooms.
• Laundry - washing & drying all blankets & towels.
• Supervising large groups of dogs at play - need gifted ability & qualified skills in animal behavior to supervise & manage play yard.
• Need experience and ability to read dogs and prevent any potential trouble.
• Must be able to identify what needs to be done and initiative to do it.
• Must be aware and able to evaluate all dogs and cats to keep them safe, happy, and comfortable.
• Must be able to handle walking dogs on lead.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Early morning hours - start 6am.
• Outdoor activities in all weather.
• Fitting dogs with collars safely. Taking collars off and putting collars on.
• Medicating guests - ointments, pills, liquids, injections, wraps, etc.
