Holiday Hours

We are closed on all major holidays, however, our animal care technicians are here for your pet’s care 365 days a year.

  • Easter - closed
  • 4th of July - closed
  • Thanksgiving - closed
  • Christmas Day - closed
  • New Years Day - closed
Check-out time for boarding is in the morning. Any check-outs made in the afternoon will be charged $35 for that day.
You may bring your own toys and food or treats with you. We strongly suggest that bedding be minimal, and not of a high value to our customers. We can only accept beds that are machine washable. Larger sized dog beds, or beds of a more sensitive material can not be properly laundered in our facility, and would be best left at home. Old tee shirts and blankets can be a great comfort to your pet while you're away. We will provide clean bedding on a daily basis should you choose to leave yours at home.
Yes! We encourage all prospective guests come and tour either (or both!) of our facilities prior to your first reservation. Tours are available without appointment any time during regular business hours.
You are more than welcome to call during our hours of operations to see how your pets are doing.
Our staff has many years of experience in pet care, daycare, and training. We understand that the boarding of dogs can be a stressful time away from their family and home. We pride ourselves in treating your pet with patience and kindness during their vacation here at Oakview. We strive to meet every pet's individual needs in order to help the most home-sick of puppies have an excellent stay.
If your pet becomes ill during their stay with us, they will be given immediate medical attention. We have several veterinarians that have 24-hour care. We will notify you, if you left an emergency number. In non-emergency situations, we will try to use your vet if they are located in the area.

We can't board your pet without all current vaccinations.

  • Rabies - all dogs over 16 weeks
  • DHLPP - all dogs
  • Bordetella - within last 6 months, 7 days prior to service

For Puppies:

  • DAAP (distemper/parvo)/bordetella - 8 weeks
  • DAPP-L - 12 weeks
  • Booster (distemper/parvo/lepto) & rabies - 1 year

When your dog is picked up, he will be very excited to see you. Don't feed him (though he will act hungry or thirsty once back in his familiar territory) for at least 3 hours, and then be careful not to overfeed or over water. If he is thirsty, give him a few ice cubes to tide him over until feeding time again. These precautions are taken in his excited state to elevate problems with excessive water and food consumption.
