Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

When your dog is picked up he will be very excited to see you. Don't feed him (though he will act hungry or thirsty once back in his familiar territory) for at least 3 hours, and then be careful not to overfeed or over water. If he is thirsty give him a few ice cubes to tide him over until feeding time again. These precautions are taken in his excited state to elevate problems with excessive water and food consumption.
You may bring your own toys and food or treats with you. We suggest that bedding be minimal, and not of a high value to our customers, old shirts and blankets are a comfort to your pet while you're away. We do however provide clean bedding on a daily basis should you choose to use our bedding.
Yes, we have viewing hours between 1-6 pm, Monday thru Friday; Saturdays are 10am-12pm.
You are more than welcome to call during our hours of operations to see how your pet(s) doing.
Our staff has many years of experience in pet care, day care, and training. We understand that the boarding of dogs can be a stressful time away from their family and home. We pride ourselves in treating your pet with patience and kindness during their vacation here at Oakview. We strive to meet every pet's individual needs in order to help the most home-sick of puppies have an excellent stay.
If your pet becomes ill during their stay with us, they will be given immediate medical attention. We have several veterinarians that have 24-hr care. We will notify you, if you left an emergency number. In non-emergency situations, we will try to use your vet if they are located in the area.
We can't board your pet without all current vaccinations required. Please check out our vaccination page.
We only allow pets to interact when they are from the same family. Dogs are walked individually and separate from others. Safety is our main concern for your family pet.
